Organized by: European Polar Board; INTERACT - The International Network for Terrestrial Research and Monitoring in the Arctic

The currently ongoing ICARP IV process (the International Congress on Arctic Research Planning) will engage Arctic researchers, policy makers, residents and stakeholders to discuss the state of Arctic science and to consider the most urgent knowledge gaps and research priorities for the next decade.

The ICARP IV process offers a unique possibility for science and infrastructure communities to work together to identify, develop and operate an optimal infrastructure and access platform that allow the scientific community to address societally relevant, challenge driven research questions developed by ICARP IV for the benefit of both people, societies and the environment.

This session will present an overview of current infrastructure network catalogues and circumarctic access programmes, and invites science networks, policy makers and funding bodies/donors to engage in a dialogue on how to develop an adequate infrastructure platform and sustained access mechanism for facilitating the implementation of ICARP IV priorities.
